We carried out the” Baseline assessment on the plastic waste transport from the Nile River into the Marine Environment”, Case Study Rwanda. The main objective of this project is to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the current level of plastic waste pollution transported by the Nile Basin with a focus on Case Studies. The analysis of the waste management status quo within the Case Study-Rwanda. This document compiled information about main contributors to solid waste generation and plastic pollution, Waste generation hotspots, Relevant legislation concerning waste management and marine litter and Initiatives aimed to tackle plastic waste.
